Manfeild Main Track Drift Practice – Intermediate to advanced skill level.
Supporting the FP ShowVember Drift Comp. Solo passes, tandems and team drift trains. Demonstration runs will run in conjunction with the judged battle sessions.

Tailored for intermediate and advanced drifters.

Passengers in solo runs only in cars with homologated roll cages.

Scrutineering will be done on Friday from 5pm to 7pm or the day. Here are some basic guidelines:
SAFETY WEAR
– Helmet that complies with Schedule A
– Overalls (100% cotton fire retardant with under garments or SFI/FIA approved race suit)
– Approved footwear. Minimum is leather
– Gloves (recommended but not mandatory)
EXTERIOR
– Wheel nuts (ALL)
– Exhaust secure. 95 DbA maximum noise level
– No exhausts out the bonnet – exhausts must be vented beyond the mid-point of the vehicle’s wheelbase as per MSNZ Schedule A
– Bonnet pins (if not using factory latch)
ENGINE BAY
– NO fluid leaks PLEASE CHECK
– Oil catch can / Overflow (if not factory)
– Battery secure (4x 8mm bolts if not factory,)
– Insulated battery terminals
INTERIOR
– Seats secure (4x high tensile bolts)
– Seatbelts / Harnesses (SFI in date. FIA expiry date plus 5 years)
– Brakes (solid pedal)
– Door cards
– Batteries must be mounted using 4 x M8 bolts with steel straps securing battery to floor (not just bolted through the battery box). Able to withstand 25G impact
– Non sealed batteries must be in a box and vented if within the passenger cabin.
SEALED CABIN/FIREWALL. No open holes on engine firewall or rear bulkhead
– Fuel cell / surge tank*
*IF YES ENSURE FULL REAR FIREWALL IS FITTED
– Fire extinguisher 1kg (CHECK GAUGE AND EXPIRY) and securely mounted with two metal release straps
ROLL CAGE
– Roll cages are not required for solo runs*
*If roll caged, it MUST be homologated
– Where a roll cage is fitted, harnesses must be installed using correct mounting and plates
– Factory seat belts are required where a cage is not fitted
