- Before drift day: Fill in the entry above and pay online. It’s also a good time to check your vehicle over to ensure there’s none to minimal issues at scrutineering on the day!
- On the day – Sign the indemnity form at documentation, attend drivers briefing and have your vehicle scrutineered
- Get out there and HAVE FUN!

1. Venting wastegates are permitted* under the following:
(1.1) Main exhaust systems must adhere to Schedule A, section 5.2 Exhaust. From point (a) to point (f) with an exception made to (d)* and (e)* – As per Schedule A above*
(1.1.2) Any wastegate exhaust noise does not exceed 95db at any time or
(1.1.3) Meet Circuit Noise Permit requirements.
(1.1.4) The wastegate exhaust exits the outer bodywork of the vehicle behind the drivers or passengers door at no higher than 300mm from ground level and does not protrude more than 150mm beyond the bodywork of the vehicle.
(1.1.5) Exits below the engine bay facing the ground, on level with or above the lowest part of the body or drivetrain, not rearward of the A pillar and with no fluid lines or combustible components within 300mm of the opening pipe exit, or
(1.1.6) Exit facing directly up through the bonnet, past the bodywork but protruding no more than 30mm. The wastegate pipe must point emissions directly up. Emissions directed forward / rearward / sideward are not be permitted.
(1.1.7) Exit through the lower front guard area, past the bodywork but protruding no more than 30mm, pointing on a downwards angle and at no higher than 300mm from ground level.
(1.1.8) Both the driver and passenger (if applicable) are to be wearing approved fire resistant overalls as per section 4.3, Protective Clothing: of Schedule A, Driver & Vehicle Safety.
- Roll cages are not compulsory
- If caged, it must be a Motorsport NZ homologated roll cage with logbook
- Where a roll cage is fitted harnesses must be installed using correct mounting and plates
- Factory seat belts can be used where a cage is not fitted
- Helmet in good condition
- Overalls in good condition (100% cotton fire retardant with under garments or SFI/FIA approved race suit)
- Approved footwear, leather or race boots
- Wheel nuts (ALL)
- Exhaust secure
- No exhausts out the bonnet – exhausts must be vented beyond the mid-point of the vehicles wheelbase.
- Bonnet pins (if not using factory latch)
- FRONT & REAR tow points
ENGINE BAY
- NO fluid leaks PLEASE CHECK.
- Oil and water catch cans / overflow (if not factory)
- Battery secure (4x M6 bolts if not factory)
- Insulated battery terminals
INTERIOR
- Seats secure (4x bolts)
- Seatbelts / Harnesses (in date: SFI expiry date as labelled – FIA label expiry date plus 5 years)
- Brakes (solid pedal)
- Door cards
- Batteries must be mounted using at least 4 x M6 bolts securing battery to floor (not just bolted through the battery box)
- Non sealed batteries must be in a box and vented outside the car (terminals must be insulated/covered)
- SEALED CABIN/FIREWALL (no open holes through the engine bay firewall)
- Fire extinguisher 1kg with two metal straps (CHECK GAUGE) Securely mounted with 2 M6 bolts with large washers
- Fuel cell / surge tank *IF YES ENSURE FULL SEALED REAR FIREWALL IS FITTED*
